01 · Challenge

The challenge

In Mexico, a data-center operator is bringing data-center capacity online in stages, and each stage’s installation needs its remote power panels on site. The first order from a data-center electrical contractor covered one stage with 48 panels. The second covered eight more stages with 768 panels at 415Y/240V, scheduled to ship in batches of about 70 as panels come off the line rather than held for one delivery.

02 · Build

What DEI built

Every panel is a 400A main-breaker, 42-circuit RPP at 415Y/240V, three-phase four-wire, in a NEMA 1 enclosure with tin-plated copper bus. Each carries a Siemens 3VA 400A LSI main, 100% rated at 35 kAIC, and fourteen 3-pole branch breakers rated 25 kAIC filling its 42 circuit positions. A branch-circuit monitoring system with split-core CTs on all 42 branch conductors and on the main reports current to a local display. The first order uses 60A branch breakers; the 768-panel order steps up to 100A.

Engineered, fabricated and assembled under one roof in Jurupa Valley, California.

As of September 2026 the 48-panel order is at the ready-to-ship stage, with shipment projected for October 2026, and the 768-panel order is in assembly. DEI’s delivery schedule splits the large order into two phases of 384 panels: the first window runs October–November 2026, the second November–December 2026. Completed panels are to ship as they come off the line, in planned batches of about 70, so installation does not wait for a whole phase.
