For Amazon, the job called for a 4000A, 480Y/277V service with utility metering, protective relaying and a 65 kAIC rating. The purchase order from CBT Company held production until DEI’s submittal was approved and the customer released it.
UL 891 low-voltage meter-main switchgear rated 4000A at 480Y/277V, three-phase four-wire, 65 kAIC, in a NEMA 1 indoor enclosure with tin-plated aluminum bus and front-accessible terminations. A Siemens WL 4000A main breaker, 100% rated, with an LSIG trip unit, ground-fault protection and arc-energy reduction (NEC 240.87), feeds Siemens 3VA feeder breakers with LSIG trips from 250A to 1200A. The switchgear also carries a utility metering section, a protective relay, a power-quality meter, a 200kA surge protective device and an IR viewing window.

Engineered, fabricated and assembled under one roof in Jurupa Valley, California.
Production waited for DEI’s approved submittal and the customer’s release, as the purchase order required. DEI’s submittal is dated July 2026 and went through revision before release. The five sections then moved through fabrication and bus bar, assembly and QC, and shipped on skids built for the large sections; the switchgear is delivered as of September 2026.
