In September 2026 MC Electric ordered one outdoor 600A switchboard section from DEI for Rivian: the utility pull section, which receives the serving utility’s service conductors and houses a CT compartment laid out to that utility’s requirements.
A 600A UL 891 low-voltage switchboard section at 480Y/277V, three-phase four-wire, 65 kAIC, in a NEMA 3R outdoor enclosure finished in ANSI 61 light gray. Its tin-plated aluminum bus carries 600A on each phase and the neutral and is braced for 65 kA RMS symmetrical. As the utility pull section it takes bottom conduit entry, keeps every termination reachable from the front, and houses the serving utility’s CT compartment and meter socket, laid out to that utility’s requirements.
